i have been looking for the 'official' translation of the finnish poem below as sanctioned by eeva kilpi (1928- present) but since i can't find it, i plaigiarise the sentiment expressed in it shamelessly by recalling it from my paracetamol-soaked memory:
-He stepped inside my door-
"Tell me right away if I'm disturbing you,"
he said as he stepped inside my door,
"and I'll leave at once."
"You not only disturb me," I said,
"You shatter my entire existence.
Welcome."
...for m., who leaves such indelible imprints...
