A beautiful day
Sad Associate and I got a couple of sandwiches from Prets and sat outside for lunch today. The soft breeze and the rhythm of the water flowing along the fountains in Exchange Square was very soothing. With the warm sun on our backs, we watched a small child walk along the edge of the fountain, only to fall in. He was soaked through but very pleased with himself, grinning cheerfully as his mother hauled him out of the water.
Then we just sat in the square, looking up at the bright blue sky, blinking in the light.
On days like today, I can forget about my worries and just grin in the sun, like that little boy. It's springtime, finally.
