Jetlagged

One of the downsides of jetlag is that it messes up your mealtimes. I blame this on the airlines - they always forcefeed you at odd times even though you don't want to eat, but you have to eat when they serve meals for fear of starvation later on. I've already had my breakfast this morning and yet I feel as if I've been starved - I should have pasta and a chocolate brownie or something.

Of course, jetlag also means waking up at 4.50 a.m. when your alarm is set for 7.00. I suppose this is a good thing - you can get up bright and early to join the birdsong, do yoga or read a book. Or go back to sleep. Curiously enough, I could hear my neighbour's alarm going off at around 5.00 a.m.

My head is drifting through fog. M. says it's because if I was in New York with him, I'd have had my dinner and wine and be plopping off to bed at this time. God forbid anyone gives me proper work to do today...
