The hunt

Last night, I scolded my quivering heart and set to work sending out faxes of my resume and school transcripts to unsuspecting HR departments and heads of corporate at law firms in NYC. So now I am waiting for fancy rejection letters. The last one I got was reasonably fancy. It said on nice letterheaded paper, "We regret we cannot employ all lawyers who have excellent qualifications." Fairly nice. But then I also got a rejection by email which said, "We do not have a suitable position for you and we do not anticipate this situation to change in the near future." I think I preferred the fancy letter.

I may turn into someone like Snoopy, who irritates editors with his asinine attempts at writing a novel (all of his writing start with, 'It was a dark and stormy night'). I will be annoying the HR people so much that they will send letters/emails saying:

'Dear candidate,

Please, stop faxing us your resume. What have we ever done to you? Please, please, STOP.

Signed,
CRAZED DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL'

Ah, well. At least I will have got them to beg. M ha ha ha.
