I finally win a prize, for the first time in my life

"Let luck be a lady tonight," sang Sinatra, but I always thought that what he meant was that he wanted to win at the raffles - the prize being a lady. I suppose this says more about my grasp of the English language than anything else.

I am your Humble Member of the Audience Who Claps Every Time Someone Else gets the Raffle Prize. I have never even won three pounds on the National Lottery. There are some people who are just really lucky with things like that, and then there are some people like me.

But now that is all about to change. I won a CD from Woojay for remembering some of the tunes from the animation series, the Smurfs. Hooray! My streak of luck is about to change its course, I can see that. I may have to enter the National Lottery online this week. With the humble aim of winning three pounds, of course. May you all have a lucky weekend.
