Wishing you a very merry Christmas

It all started with Styro who was also asked by someone but she went on to ask Dayment and Snowy who in turn made Miss THB do it and now, it's up to me.

But before I do this meme stuff may I point out this is just so cheesy I may have to bury myself deep into a hole somewhere in New Jersey for the rest of the winter. You may laugh out loud as you imagine me cringeing with every line of this post. I'm going out now to find myself a pub.

Three names you go by: Well when I was a child I wanted my name to be Elaine. But my mum said no. So I'm stuck with J-A.

Three screennames you have: Queen of the Crab (pinched off Lucy in Peanuts). One is all I can handle, really.

Three things you like about yourself: I have never cheated in any exam. I once beat a male colleague at downing six shots of schnapps in under ten seconds. I am still relatively sane.

Three things you dislike about yourself: I can be tremendously messy yet incredibly fussy at the same time. I have mysterious allergies that cause me to break out in hives every now and then. I look better in pyjamas than in a dress.

Three parts of your heritage: Korean. Korean. Maybe, very distantly, Indian.

Three things that scare you: Nationalistic extremist (either left or right-wing) patriarchs. Me in a dress, wearing makeup. The Day After Tomorrow - are we all going to die soon because of global warming?

Three of your everyday essentials: Food. Clothes. Toilet paper.

Three things you are wearing right now: Pyjamas (naturally, one must always look one's best, even if home alone), camisole top and black cashmere 'cobweb' cardigan. Underwear is a given.

Three of your favorite bands/artists (at the moment): I listen to all kinds of trash that's on the radio so there are no favourites.

Three things you want to try in the next 12 months: Working as something other than a lawyer. Being married. Not flying out of any airport for over six months.

Three things you want in a relationship (love is a given): Spontaneity in having fun, kindness during conversations and co-operation in bed.

Two truths and a lie (random order): At age six, I nearly choked to death while eating a bowl of soba alone, but luckily I 'Heimlich'ed myself. At age eighteen, I lost five kilos while eating nothing but cereal and prunes for a week because I was too lazy to cook. At age five, I had a dog named 'Tobblers' (short for 'Toblerone') because he had a funny jaw and his ears were triangular.

Three physical things about the opposite (or same) sex that appeals to you: Clear, sexy voice. Good teeth. Tall, lean physique.

Three things you just can't do: Twist my tongue. Wriggle my ears. Maths.

Three of your favorite hobbies: Reading a book, then telling everyone I know about how good/bad/mediocre it is. Blogging. Trying out different cocktails at different watering holes.

Three things you want to do really badly right now: Go shopping for new books. Hug my sisters and my mum. Open the fridge and find a bagel in it.

Three careers you're considering: Book critic extraordinaire - I would tear up the poor authors' souls as I relish writing up wicked reviews, m ha ha ha! Professional knitter of lace doilies. Work for... world peace.

Three places you want to go on vacation: Mexico, the Bahamas, Florida - anywhere that's warm and sunny and is over zero degrees Celsius.

Three kids names: Bartholomew, Quentin and Morwenna (my children will of course be named normal names like Sarah, Jonathan and Peter).

Three things you want to do before you die: Convince the American-speaking world to call football 'football' instead of soccer. Learn to love Republicans, big and small. Work for ... world peace.

Three people who have to take this quiz, or not: I will attempt to pass on the baton to one Wry Writer, Woojay and Panajane. This is so excruciating, guys - enjoy.
